The compact design is great. Very easy to use. The vacuum seal was good and food stayed fresh.

We’ve only used our new Foodsaver once but we were impressed by how easy it was to use. We quickly bagged up 8lbs of hamburg. I plan to chop and freeze several onions and different kinds of squash tomorrow. It’ll be nice having veggies ready to go for soup.

I had another vacuum sealer but this product is significantly better! I love the flexibility of choosing whether I am sealing dry or wet food and whether I'd like a normal or gentle vacuum (helpful for things like peppers which can crush with a heavy vacuum). My favorite part is the built-in bag cutter which makes using vacuum seal bags from the roll very convenient!

It is important to read the instructions thoroughly and get a basic understanding of how it works before you use it. I read some negative reviews but my guess is the instructions were not followed close enough. I found the videos helpful and the manual that came with the food vacuum.

For something in this price range, this has been a fantastic purchase. My only complaint is that it doesn't quite get 100% of the air when trying to seal cuts of meat, but it is so close (99.5% lets say) that it isn't all that noticeable and still does the job great. Just defrosted steak from 3 weeks ago and there was no freezer burn of anything wrong. Again for the price, this is great performance. I have used about 10 times so far, and each time it has worked very well.

I just got mine and I'm so excited! I have done a lot of research and this seems to be the best value for the money! I'm a super thrifty person so the machine I bought had to be able to accommodate generic rolls of bags (this does) it had to be able to cut bags to size to save on excess waste of bag material (this one does) and it had to have A LOT of positive customer feedback (also...this one does). I am very happy with my purchase!
